Gale gave a membership report. We have 13 paid members. People without paid dues will be removed website at end of month.

Kristin discussed a lending library for the photography club.

The Reno County Fair 4H photography competition is going to be Thursday July 28th from 8am to early afternoon.  Pam of the Reno Co Extension Office is needing 3 judges to help with this.  I did this last year and had a blast talking with the 4H'ers about photography and it is truly amazing seeing all the wonderful work they are doing.  Unfortunately I am unable to do it this year but can tell you if I could I would be.  If it is the same as last year you get a lunch…

I have been asked by a Parent to shoot pictures down town at the old railroad station of their senior, after driving down there last night I see that there is in fact signs posted against photographers.

Does anyone know who put these signs up? Does anyone/ Has anyone shot there before? Last, Would you risk it for a paying job...the customer is always right...right??

Any comments would be awesome.

The plan is currently to meet at Dyck Arboretum in Hesston, have some time to do some shooting, and then we will have a brief business meeting at the Hesston Methodist Church. They have offered us a room free of charge and I will be bringing a large screen TV over from my parents place to use as a large monitor for the computer so we can show off some pictures if we chose…

I had heard about Salt City Photography about a year ago at the Kansas State Fair.  A gentleman had his camera taking pictures of the Antique Tractor Pull.  My love of photography (and cameras...the two go hand in hand right?) drew me to him and pretty soon we were both talking about our passion.  He told me he was a member of this group and I had every intention of joining then.  I guess the busyness of the fair (I work there full time) got to me and I forgot the info about the club he had…

On behalf of my family I would like to thank the club for the floral arrangement that was provided for the funeral service of my grandfather.  It was the first one there and was PERFECT.  The service was a remarkable tribute and celebration of his life and the support we received was truly a representation of how much he meant, not only to our family, but to our community as well.
